How to Make Dill Sauce

Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
– 1 1/2 cups milk (2 percent)
– 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped dill leaves
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– pinch of pepper

A note about ingredients:
Fresh dill is best for this recipe. I know you might be tempted to use dried but please trust me on this one. You can typically buy fresh dill sprigs at your local grocery (check the produce section) for just a few dollars.

Directions:
1. In a sauce pan, melt the butter over low heat. This will take just a few seconds.

2. Stir in the flour and milk and continue to stir slowly, over low heat, until the mixture thickens and comes to a low boil.

3. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh dill, salt, and pepper.

4. Once the mixture is blended well, return to the low heat and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

5. Remove from heat and transfer into your serving dish. Sprinkle with some extra fresh dill.
