Old Fashioned Bacon Muffins Ingredients:
– Bacon
– Flour
– Eggs
– Milk
– Salt
– Baking Powder
– Sugar
– Reserved Bacon Grease
How to Make Homemade Bacon Muffins:
1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
2. Add in bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled. Mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, and bacon grease. Add the entire wet mixture to the dry mixture.
4. Give mixture a few rough stirs but do not mix until smooth. Your mixture will be slightly rough and lumpy.
5. Spoon the mixture into muffin cups (greased, or use paper liners) so they are 2/3 full.
6. Bake at 425 degrees for 18-20 minutes until lightly browned.

I can tell you from experience that these bacon muffins are best served warm. Just add a little butter and you are ready to roll! If you aren’t serving them right away, tinfoil and an air tight container will do.

- 2 cups flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
