Cinnamon Coffee Cake

This vintage inspired coffee cake recipe is so easy and requires minimal, common ingredients!

INGREDIENTS

– Crisco – Sugar – Egg – Milk – Flour

Traditionally this is called Autumn Breakfast Cake because it uses warm spices such as cinnamon. You could easily make it the night before, or serve it as a last minute menu addition.

Begin by blending the sugar, egg, and Crisco until light and fluffy.

Add in the milk and dry ingredients. Mix well until nice and smooth.

Grease an 8×8 pan. Pour mixture in. Mix the topping ingredients well. Sprinkle mixture with your topping ingredients.

Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until cooked through and topping is lightly golden.

If you wish for a thicker topping, you can double the topping recipe. A little extra cinnamon or brown sugar never hurt!
