Banana Donuts Recipe

– All-Purpose Flour – Sugar – Baking Powder – Baking Soda – Salt

Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.


In a separate bowl, beat the sugar, eggs, and shortening until smooth. Add the vanilla, mashed bananas, and buttermilk to the mixture and continue to beat until well-mixed.


Combine with the flour mixture and mix until smooth.


Sprinkle some flour on a cutting board and transfer the mixture. Knead lightly.


Roll the dough to a 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with a donut cutter. Transfer to a plate for frying.
