Can you freeze coffee cake for use later? You sure can. Here is how to freeze coffee cake: Simply allow the cake to cool to room temperature. Once cool, wrap in two layers of plastic wrap. Then, wrap in two layers of aluminum foil. Add extra protection by placing in an air tight container if possible.

You can keep your coffee cake frozen for several weeks. Then, just remove the cake and allow it several hours to thaw prior to serving.

Ingredients:

  • Crisco
  • sugar
  • egg
  • milk
  • sifted flour
  • baking powder
  • salt

Topping ingredients:

  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • Crisco

Directions:

  1. Begin by blending the sugar, egg, and Crisco until light and fluffy.
  2. And in the milk and dry ingredients. Mix well until nice and smooth.
  3. Grease an 8×8 pan. Pour mixture in.
  4. Mix the topping ingredients well. Sprinkle the mixture with your topping ingredients.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until cooked through and the topping is lightly golden.

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted Crisco

Instructions
